Letter from the Braunstein Family

Dear Friends,

The legacy of our beloved mother, Rebbetzin Zahava Braunstein a”h, lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her devotion to transmitting the halachos, beauty and kedusha of Taharas Hamishpacha is legendary. Lahav, the organization in Eretz Yisrael dedicated to teaching secular brides, bears our mother’s name, and perpetuates her legacy.

Since 2004, Lahav has reached out to nearly thirty thousand secular Israeli couples, inspiring them to build homes based on Torah values. This is easily accomplished without any recruiting since by law, the couples are required to approach the Israeli Rabbinate in order to get married. The kallahs are then referred to Lahav, where they learn individually with professional and caring Kallah teachers, building lasting relationships. Preparation for marriage becomes an amazing and meaningful Jewish experience, paving the path to complete Torah observance.

In tribute to our mother, Rebbetzin Zahava Braunstein a”h, we ask you to please join Lahav’s Adopt-a-City initiative. Lahav has the potential to reach 25,000 kallahs annually!  Our goal is to open new teaching centers in additional cities in Eretz Yisrael, with each campaign funding one thousand kallahs. We begin with the city of Ashkelon. Please help to make this dream a reality by sponsoring one of the following:

Adopt-a- Kallah 1 couple: $180 (or $15 in monthly installments)

Adopt-a- Neighborhood 10 couples: $1,800

Adopt-a- District 100 couples: $18,000

Lahav’s GOAL: Adopt-a- City 1,000 couples: $180,000

We invite you to join us on May 23 for an inspiring evening to benefit Lahav. We look forward to greeting you personally and to sharing in this great mitzvah which will surely serve as an iluy neshama for our mother a”h.

With Best Wishes,

The Braunstein Family on behalf of LAHAV
